The Shop
Our shop acts as home base providing all the storage and cover we need to complete our job appropriately. It is modeled in the style of mansard roofed pole barn, with an added twist brought by the cedar shake shingle cladding.
Sustainability
We are a big fan of practicing what we preach. By combing science, with art, and good old fashioned common sense we always make an effort to inform our clients on various options, methods, and solutions to sustainable and energy efficient home building.
Construction waste is the largest culprit to landfill use to date. We do our part to not only limit the making of waste, but to also the reuse of construction material post job completion, often times cutting waste removal cost by half.
In addition we often use local based materials, such as turning trees that were cleared from site into lumber for mill work and cabinetry, thus reducing that materials carbon footprint, and not allowing the falling of said tree to go in vain.

In today's construction world it is easy to be fooled by large scale home remodeling companies and construction methods that build neighborhoods over night. Here at Gray's Building and Restoration we consider that more so assembling a house, rather than constructing a home for people to live in. We take this methodology and apply it full scale to your home remodeling wishes with a mastery of the carpenter craft that has been handed down for generations in our family.

The largest concern with any green initiative always comes down to cost. It is our job and Gray's Building and Restoration to guide and explain to you what sustainable techniques can be implemented in your construction project based on their affordability, pay back period, and if they are even worth pursuing.
By working with each client on an individual level we help to maintain a balanced budget while exploring what sustainable measures can be utilize to achieve our clients goals. It is always exciting at what this process turns up, often at times giving arise to sustainable options that come at little to no added cost.
